Has anyone been to the Ruins of Alph lately? I know I investigated them for a few weeks when I was in Violet City when I started out, but has anyone else?

[He pauses, then tugs out his Trainer Handbook. He's written something in the front cover of it, and he's going to post it.]

That's roughly what the text on the walls. It took me a while to figure it out... That's why I was there for so long. I'm still kind of disappointed that I didn't see any weird Pokémon while I was staying though. I guess they're really shy.

It's in an entirely different language... It doesn't look like anything I've ever seen back home, but they do resemble the characters used for writing here.

So it's a writing that isn't used back home at all? It isn't even something like.. uu-, Hebrew, maybe? [ smartest nine year old. .. well, when it comes to this, that is. ]

What's Hebrew look like?

[ and with that Maria - in perfect Hebrew, mind you - starts scribbling on here something along the lines of this - they're verses from the Bible, even. ]

It's kind of pretty... No, they didn't resemble that too much. I wish I had written them down instead of just the translation... I'll post pictures when I visit them again.

If it's a strange language, then Maria wants to learn, uu-..! Maybe it's a ve-ry special Pokémon language!

Really, it's a promise?! Luca has to tell Maria for sure or she'll get re-ally mad, okay? [ so threatening considering it's coming from a nine year old. ]
