[Well, that was an. Exciting weekend that he has a somewhat vivid, dream-like recollection of. Luca's spent the last two or so days trying to sort through the blanks in his memories and why he saw people he definitely knew -- didn't he--?
Well, whatever. This night finds him a little north of Goldenrod, training Spada -- on the Buneary's insistence, of course. Said Buneary is landing more than a few hits on some poor tree Scout's sitting in, while Luca takes his five minute break not too far away. Better time than never to see if any night owls want to talk, right?]
Do any of you try to find constellations that are the same in your world, here? It feels a little sad knowing that I'm really not under the same sky as my friends back home are. [He's still coming to terms with it despite being here a few months, okay.] I mean, I --
[He pauses, listening -- getting a little paler, because he definitely just heard a twig crack.]
...Are there a lot of nocturnal Pokémon? I know Sentrets are kind of that way - at least, Scout is - and Hoothoots are too, but is there anything by Goldenrod that would be --
[He yelps as a huge Scolipede charges into view -- right for his little Sentret, actually, who shrieks and climbs higher in the tree. She won't last too long up there --
but no worries, citizens of Johto and/or Kanto! Spada - our brave Buneary hero - is here! He's a little outmatched in terms of power, but he's fast... and he's got someone to protect. Luca's shaking - the feed's left on, forgotten in his fright, but giving quite a nice view of the battle taking place between a huge bug and a little bunny.
Or... well, Lopunnies still pale in size to Scolipedes, but he's not as small as he used to be, and evidently the Scolipede thinks battling for food is Too Hard, since it leaves after an intimidating glare thrown at the would-be prey and her protector.
Luca sighs, thankful, then bites back a smile; finally, one of his Pokémon've evolved.
And, upon remembering the feed, frowns.]
Well, um... That Pokémon's not native to Johto, right? I really hope we don't see anymore of those...

Doesn't look like ya need to worry even if ya do run into another one.
I guess not, but I'd really prefer not to... They're kind of scary.

If he really ain't from around here, then you probably won't find too many hangin' about. They do swarm sometimes, but those only last a few days at most.
Then again, more and more of these guys show up outta nowhere, so who can tell?

I'll just keep an eye out. I mean, I --
[Brb, feed's off. Did you know Scolipedes are relentless? That it was just resting its haunches, waiting for a time to strike? Yeah, neither did he.
But he's back not too long later, hoping she's still around. There's a fainted Scolipede by the tree, and Luca's watching his Lopunny give it a few more punches before settling down to take a break.]
...I should probably get back into the city soon. Hopefully they'll stay away since it's pretty populated.

[But he supposes it could've just been a good hider and he missed it by a long shot.]
And yeah, it kind of is.
... Yeah. You killed it, right?
Defeated it, but yes. [It came back for more

...I should certainly hope it isn't.
In any case, I haven't really thought about trying to pinpoint constellations. Though, now that you mention it, I have to wonder what sorts of constellations they have here.
[audio]
Do you think they're named after Pokémon and the like?
[audio]
Oh, probably. That's usually how constellations tend to go-different cultures associate star formations with different things depending on what's relevant to them.
[audio]
Hmm. I wonder how people ever agree on which are which if each culture has its own thing going on...

I think I've figured out which one is this world's North Star. I'll have to keep watching to be sure. I haven't seen any constellations I recognize, though.
I've seen some bats and spiders out at night but not in the day.
Neither have I... Do you think there's a book about the constellations here?

I don't think that's native. I mean, when there was a giant bug invasion about a year ago, I didn't see that at all and I saw just about every other type of bug pokemon! [ ...God. She's sort of. Looking away from the feed in repulsion. ]
video
It's certainly got a... unique look to it... I'm not usually freaked out by bugs [and he has seen some bugs, trust!] but that one was just...
[Bleeugh.]

And some of them are ugly but not off putting like [ she tosses up a pokeball and shouts Mayuri's name. She focuses the feed on Yanmega who just starts to swat Rangiku with his tail. ] Argh! Okay! I'm sorry!
[ And now she focuses the feed back on her with a positive smile. ] But, that bug wasn't anything I've seen before - even when Johto was being overrun with bugs! That bug was just ugh.
