[Well, that was an. Exciting weekend that he has a somewhat vivid, dream-like recollection of. Luca's spent the last two or so days trying to sort through the blanks in his memories and why he saw people he definitely knew -- didn't he--?

Well, whatever. This night finds him a little north of Goldenrod, training Spada -- on the Buneary's insistence, of course. Said Buneary is landing more than a few hits on some poor tree Scout's sitting in, while Luca takes his five minute break not too far away. Better time than never to see if any night owls want to talk, right?]

Do any of you try to find constellations that are the same in your world, here? It feels a little sad knowing that I'm really not under the same sky as my friends back home are. [He's still coming to terms with it despite being here a few months, okay.] I mean, I --

[He pauses, listening -- getting a little paler, because he definitely just heard a twig crack.]

...Are there a lot of nocturnal Pokémon? I know Sentrets are kind of that way - at least, Scout is - and Hoothoots are too, but is there anything by Goldenrod that would be --

[He yelps as a huge Scolipede charges into view -- right for his little Sentret, actually, who shrieks and climbs higher in the tree. She won't last too long up there --

but no worries, citizens of Johto and/or Kanto! Spada - our brave Buneary hero - is here! He's a little outmatched in terms of power, but he's fast... and he's got someone to protect. Luca's shaking - the feed's left on, forgotten in his fright, but giving quite a nice view of the battle taking place between a huge bug and a little bunny.

Or... well, Lopunnies still pale in size to Scolipedes, but he's not as small as he used to be, and evidently the Scolipede thinks battling for food is Too Hard, since it leaves after an intimidating glare thrown at the would-be prey and her protector.

Luca sighs, thankful, then bites back a smile; finally, one of his Pokémon've evolved.

And, upon remembering the feed, frowns.]

Well, um... That Pokémon's not native to Johto, right? I really hope we don't see anymore of those...

[Rangiku is his hero --] Shinn's pokémon do that, too, but I'm pretty sure it's because they don't like him. It feels like you have a good relationship with your pokémon though.

Yeah! I'm sort of like their mom, you know? [ why did I type that... ] I mean, I let them goof off and play fun and games and tricks and everything but, at the end of the day, I truly love them and they love me back. [ beat. ] I hope.

I think they may not like my drinking too much because I usually just fall asleep. And I think I wasn't their most favorite person when I had the police after me for a month~! [ SHE CAN EXPLAIN. No, really, she can!! ]

[HOW CAN YOU BE SUCH A SWEET LADY AND STILL HAVE THE POLICE AFTER YOU ALL THE TIME --]

...I can see that... But those two things don't happen that often, right?

No? [ She's confused and concerned by his implications. ] They only went after me because I skipped work to visit a friend in the hospital in another town even though I told them I'd be working in that hospital as soon as I got there. Then they sent police officers after me and renewed my bounty.

At the same time, some man tried killing another person and he only got two weeks of police chasing after him! [ IT'S A SUCKY WORLD... ]

That really is unfair, and I'm sorry you had to go through it.

[But that just says that he shouldn't piss off the Jennys ahahaha --]

It's all right! I can't control what Johto does. It was very annoying at the time, but, it did give me insight and bonding time with my pokemon, and demonstrated just how short the memories are here, ehe~! [ she uses that to her advantage with the bartenders, ehehe. ]

[ Rangiku notices the blushing and lightly giggles. Her laugh's texture is more sweet and understanding than mocking. ]

Don't blush, please! It's not bad! I can't expect you to know metaphors for things that may be foreign in your world~! I personally heard that one myself [ from a dubbing company ] after a month or two here~!

They're probably a lot more commonplace than I realize, but I... never did a lot of socializing back home. I guess I'm not totally hopeless when it comes to social situations [much] but, um... Anyway, I'll keep it in mind.

Self-imposed isolation. I had, um... some issues, I guess, that I ended up working out when I was drafted into Regnum's army and made friends then and later on.

No, not really~! That's why they stick out like a sore thumb! They're usually very open about how evil they are~! [ She giggles. ] Or about how destructive they are. [ for some reason, calling a villain evil just usually angers them!!!! ]

Wouldn't that just mean it'd be easier for the police to find them? [villains are dumb!]

Unfortunately, the police aren't very effective~! They never found me even though I was in a forest that takes five days to travel through for an entire month. They also never found the attempted murderer, who was in a cave for two weeks. If the police were effective, then they'd probably be in jail right now. But, sadly, they can't arrest their way through a paper bag.
