[There's something-- different about Luca when he comes onto the feed today.

Maybe it's the silver scales fanning up from the back of his neck and around his collarbones, and dotting his face and arms (as well as many other-- less visible places). Maybe it's the fact he is, actually, dressed down - in a t-shirt and a pair of jeans he bought from Celadon's store, and looking pretty awkward out of his usual wear.

Maybe it's the fact he's leaking. There's water dripping down his scales and skin, as well as off of his hair. Instead of holding his PokéGear, he's let his Audino film for today. He looks more than a little tired, too.]

...I thought it was strange for the locals to start growing horns and scales and things, but I didn't realize it could infect us too. [He tried tending to a few infected NPCs, but-- couldn't really figure out the cause. As for people he's seen on the network--] Um... Some people, I've noticed, have red splotches and others have yellow... You can probably use fire and electricity-based attacks then, right?

[The only reason he's deducted this, though, is as he shows; when he opens his mouth to speak, he gets a wide-eyed look and turns his head; water spits out of his mouth, much like a Water Gun, and he looks sick again.]

Um... Sorry. Anyway, I hope everyone stays safe and gets better soon. It seems like Pokémon who are the opposite of whatever you have really don't like you [he glances at his Pokéballs and sighs, evidently not happy that his Charmander's become more hostile] and I'm going to bet that it's the same for ones that don't have trainers.

[He scratches at his scales, then wipes some condensation off of his face and slumps his shoulders.]

...I'm going to go lie down for a bit. Sorry for such a long ramble. I don't even know what I'm really saying anymore. [Time to address the cameraman.] Doctor, that's enough.

[With that, the feed goes out. Seasickness was bad enough; having it on land is even worse.]

You too, huh...?

[Guess who has similar symptoms--her hair is almost completely purple, blue and purple scales fanning down her neck and shoulders, disappearing under her dress. The feed shakes as she hiccups a Bubble, looking sheepish.]

It's more trouble than it's worth, if you ask me.

[Someone's looking a little better, at least! He can't help but feel sorry for her though, she looks much worse off than him.]

I'm relieved to see that not everyone's brimming with static and thunder. I guess it's water's natural aversion to that sort of thing... Oh, but I'm not saying that it's good that you're - or that I'm - like this! It's just... nice, I guess...

It's-s ice f-f-for m-me...

[Hiccup's shivering has only been getting worse, as time progresses, and...he doesn't even want to think about how he looks. Luca probably didn't need one more trainer's mutated appearance lingering in his brain, anyway.

After a moment of chattering teeth, he sighs and switches his tone to a mumble.]

...M-my dragons d-don't want to be near me e-e-either-r.

[--If it isn't already video Luca's not going to bother changing it to it, that's a lot of work and even if he's a little better than before, he still doesn't feel all there.]

Sorry. [Even if it's not his fault.] I only have two fire Pokémon, but they're really wary of me. At least Toto's not trying to burn me, like my Charmander was earlier. [Huff. He sighs.] Ice, huh... Ice, water, electric, and fire... Those are all pretty destructive elements, aren't they..?

[He's mostly musing to himself, with a clearer head.]

I-I think that they're a-all pretty d-d-destructive. I-If y-you look at pokemon-n.

[Really, Astrid the Snorunt was the only one happy with Hiccup's fun new sickness. He can sneeze snow!]

D-do you have any water-r-r t-types on your t-team?

[She laughs, but it sounds more like a croak.] No, no--I understand. I'd rather this than burning up like I've seen some people do. I just wish I could stop...wanting to swim so badly.

Electric over here.

[His symptoms is similiar, but a bit mild. Discoloured yellow skin and he's trying to keep his breathing steady, mostly to calm his rapid heartbeats.]

And I can say that wild Pokemon...don't really like us.

It's better than feeling sick every time you try to walk because your body's convinced you're already in water. [His giggle sends small bubbles into the air and he reddens, embarrassed.] Oops.

Not at all. Most of my team's normal types, and I have a psychic and a grass in the PC. It could be worse, I guess.

[Like Hiccup's situation with his dragons. Poor thing.]

What other types do you have on your team, aside from dragon?

[Just as he suspected! About color coordinating attacks, that is. Hmmm.]

I guess I'm going to have to hold off on training everyone then... Not that I thought I could feeling like this. [And his Charmander probably wouldn't listen to him anyway --]

I wonder what the cause of this is... I mean, this hasn't happened before, right?

[She laughs again, only succeeding in hiccuping more bubbles, and more, and--] Oh, now you've g-got me started! There's no where to--[hiccup! at this rate, she's going to Bubblebeam.]--swim where you are?

[Her hiccuping of bubbles makes him laugh, too, and -- oh no, this is terrible. Laughter is only the best medicine when it doesn't make bubbles.]

S-Sorry! Celadon's pretty land-locked, although there's--[Is that a Bubblebeam? No, no, just too many bubbles to talk through. Luca tries to calm himself and manages to do so somewhat, although he giggles as he talks and lets out smaller bubbles again.] There's a pool of water in front of one of the houses, but it seems pretty dirty. I wouldn't want to go in that.

[Eventually Kiki just claps her hands over her mouth, focusing on what Luca is saying rather than how he's saying it. That seems to make the bubbles abate somewhat.]

I wouldn't try it if I were you. [It's probably got Grimers in it.] But if you're at the Breeding Center--why don't you come out to the backyard? You can come hang out with my Staryu and me.

I've been around a lot of the locals who've been showing signs of it, so I can't say I'm really surprised... Although I guess I expected that since we're not actually from here, we wouldn't be able to get infected or-- however it is this one works. 'Infected' makes it sound a lot worse than it is...

[He scratches at his scales absently; he's feeling better by now, but his scales are itchy.]

... this is getting kind of ridiculous in how half of the network is starting to look like we all walked into a cosplay convention.

None that I know of... This is the first time I saw something like this. Us getting powers, I mean.

[Still, at least Hiccup had one pokemon who was currently head-over-heels for him. It was a little comforting, to listen to the tiny ice-type coo as she snuggled up to him.]

One i-i-ice. Th-the rest are things like f-fire, water-r and-d-d flying.

[Plus a few others, but he's been saddled with permanent brainfreeze, which doesn't exactly make doing a mental headcount fun.]

I'd suggest keeping by your fire type to try and alleviate your shivering, but I get the feeling that you'd end up wanting to avoid fire as much as my Charmander wants to avoid me.

I wonder if this has any connection to the Pokémon centers blowing up.
